Capacity Building for Members of the Perumnas Sukarahayu Gymnastics Club in Preparing for Disasters

Abstract
Subang Regency is highly vulnerable to seasonal floods and residential fires, yet individual disaster preparedness among residents in densely populated areas remains low. This community service project aimed to enhance knowledge, awareness, and emergency readiness among members of the Perumnas Sukarahayu Gymnastics Community in facing floods and fires, as well as optimizing the use of Emergency Go-Bags. The implementation method comprised three structured steps: distribution of educational leaflets, interactive lectures on health and disaster mitigation, and active participant rewards. Evaluation was conducted descriptively by assessing participant engagement and comprehension. Results demonstrated high community enthusiasm, marked by active discussions and participants' ability to identify flood prevention measures, fire handling protocols, and essential Emergency Go-Bag items independently. Educational leaflets served as practical guides enhancing information retention. In conclusion, community-based health education effectively fosters a culture of disaster readiness and strengthens household resilience against emergencies
